November 6, 2024: Donald Trump's Coalition Took Eight Years To Build. It Is Here Now.
Americans Reject Biden's Democratic Party. MAGA is Mainstream Now.
Donald Trump has secured his place as the leading rightwing American politician of the last 50 years, surpassing Ronald Reagan, who was never able to gain control of Congress for his party. By returning to the presidency he joins Grover Cleveland and his late 19th century comeback as the only U.S. president to serve non-consecutive terms. Now to be inaugurated as the 47th president, Trump’s feat is proof, positive proof of his political resilience and his ability to command loyalty from a large segment of the electorate while expanding into demographics long abandon by neocon Republicans. His style as a strongman caudillo has appealed to Latino men who Democrats hoped to win due to Trump's offensiveness. This has proven to be a Democrat fantasy, an identity politics chimera Latino men do not wilt so easily. And just enough working-class Black men have come out for him to tilt Georgia and Pennsylvania his way. The Democrats will have years to debate their failure, but it should only take days. The Biden autopilot presidency has been a disaster, and Vice President Harris paid the price.
The Democrats could not turn her face fast enough. J.D. Vance becomes the youngest vice president since Richard Nixon. But more on Trump. Donald Trump has outperformed the polls again.
